Abd al Qadir Qaddura

Abd alQadir Qaddura is a Syrian politician. He was formerly a leading member of the Syriabased wing of the Baath Party, in the era of President Hafez alAssad . Qaddura served as speaker of the Peoples Councilthe Syrian parliamentfor much of the 1990s. He lost his post on the Baath Partys leading board, the Regional Command, in 2005, as President Bashar alAssad retired several main names from the Hafiz era.
